Brie Jongewaard
Storytelling Textile Artist
About Me
From the time I read short stories from my parent's 1932 Compton Pictured Encyclopedia and created my own paper dolls using the colored covers of The Saturday Evening Post my imagination married words with clothing. I became a storytelling textile artist because I simply could not imagine any better way to express my artistic urges and tell my tale. My garments and stories combine as the memoir of a woman living a long, sweet, colorful, sassy, and fulfilling life.
